Measuring life

In tablespoons of butter,

And scoops of ice cream,

It has been most fulfilling.

Early mornings,

Just before noon,

And starry nights,

Through French windows

Have been soulful.

Thankful for breakfast in bed.

Grateful for satellite television.

Gleefully sinning on coffee,

Time flows along.

And happiness will last forever,

Just don’t stop to think.
